New Yoga App for Pulmonary Hypertension Patients

As part of a Lantos Award project, two medical professionals have created a free app with yoga for pulmonary hypertension patients. The app was developed by Dr. Awdish, MD, FCCP, Senior Staff Physician and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine Wayne State University School of Medicine Detroit, Mich, along with Patricia Fantuz, Nurse Practitioner at the Henry Ford Hospital, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Center.

The program includes an introductory video describing purpose and precautions, followed by a very low-impact chair yoga sequence. Additionally, there is an intermediate sequence with chair assist. Finally, as the patient advances, there is a more advanced sequence.

The app can be accessed on iTunes by searching and using the quotes "Yoga for PH" and on Google play here.
