Creativity for a Cure: PHA Art from the Heart

PHA Art from the Heart is a program to get kids and teens in the PHA community involved with our work to find a cure for PH.

Kids and teens, ages 15 and under, are invited to submit artwork that tells a PH story to the PHA Art from the Heart design contest. Winning submissions will be printed on PHA bookmarks, which are used to raise awareness and funds for the fight against PH.

I wish there was a category for senior citizens with PH. There is talent plus wisdom in this age group. In many cases People who are long term survivors as well. A category for us (I'm 60) would be a great outlet for those need to express themselves without words.

Thanks for your feedback. This year we are focusing on engaging kids and teens, but you have a great idea that we will keep in mind for future contests. In the meantime, we have several creativity outlets that we can direct you toward. We have a creativity webinar recording that focuses on adult members of the community who engage in artwork and other creative expressions (www.PHAssociation.org/Classroom/Recording/LivingWithPH/CreativeExpressionForWellbeing). We also just launched a creativity corner of the website (www.PHAssociation.org/OurJourneys/CreativeExpressions). And finally, we always welcome submissions to Persistent Voices within Pathlight. If you are interested in this option, please contact Megan Mallory, PHA's Director of Publications at MeganM@PHAssociation.org.
